Naples - The Management Committee of the Port System Authority of the Central Tyrrhenian Sea, approved the update to the Three-year Operational Plan 2018-2020 (the previous version was approved in March 2017).
The Committee, with the approval of POT 2018-2020, has confirmed and consolidated the strategy of infrastructural adjustment in the ports of the Campania system (Naples, Salerno and Castellammare di Stabia). It also approved the Master Plan for the ports of Salerno and Castellammare di Stabia (the previous POT already included the Master Plan of the port of Naples, which was confirmed).
The Plan is primarily focused on six points: the implementation of the Special Economic Zone; developments to the east of the port of Naples; the opening of the San Vincenzo wharf; dredging for the ports of Naples and Salerno; phase two of the “waterfront” project for the port of Naples (Calata Piliero); and the development of shipbuilding for the ports of Castellammare di Stabia and Naples.
In particular, the members of the Management Committee agreed on the priority of the points listed above and on the need “to give substance to the objectives announced.”
