Palermo, Cruise Terminal Design Competition

Palermo - The winner of the competition will receive a prize of € 77,000, while the runner-up will receive € 21,000 in reimbursement for expenses.

Palermo - The Port System Authority of the Western Sea of Sicily (AdSP) has launched an “International design competition for the creation of new cruise and passenger and ro-ro terminals, including adjoining city-port interface areas, as part of the Port of Palermo Master Plan” (pending approval). The call for submissions was sent on January 15, 2018 to the Official Journal of the European Union, with the deadline for submission of projects set for April 20, 2018. The winner of the competition will receive a prize of € 77,000, while the runner-up will receive € 21,000 in reimbursement for expenses. The AdSP reserves the right to assign the following stages of the project’s design to the winner, for an estimated total amount of 3,274,825.22 euro. The total cost of the works amounts to around 70 million euro.
