WHAT ARE THE most promising sectors for the ports of Naples and Salerno today? “These are two multifunctional airports with characteristics that integrate, with all the port services - answers Antonio Sticco, president of the shipping company Sticco Sped -. The elements of distinction are spaces and operational capacity. The added value of Naples lies in the cruises, in the traffic for the islands, in the tourist development both foreign and of national appeal. Salerno instead is a port focused on European cabotage the development of the Motorways of the Sea”.

What are the critical points instead?

“In Naples they are always the same ... we need the excavations because the ships do not have problems with drafting; more space is needed because the goods have no problem downloading. We need the development of intermodality, the organization of state services necessary for the importation and exportation of goods. “It’s hard to always say the same: what connections? which efficient railway service? We are waiting for them to arrive, and to be developed”.
