Genoa - A month after the acquisition of a 54 meter yacht, Baglietto signed a contract for a 46 meter ship made of steel and aluminum with a displacement hull. The motor yacht is for an Eastern European shipowner and it is forecasted to be delivered at the beginning of 2015. The ship is being built in the shipyard located at La Spezia. It follows the new Baglietto line which incorporates typical stylistic elements: slightly out of alignment traits like the windows of the main deck, are interrupted by more sinuous lines like those found in pavers of the deck handrail, while the very slender bow redefines typical forms of Nordic boats.
The boat has two Caterpillar 3512B engines, which allow a maximum speed of 17 knots, and a cruise speed of 12 knots, with an effective range of 4,500 miles. The boat is within the limit of the 500 Gt and will be classified with the top class of the American Bureau of Shipping and following the MCA guidelines. In addition to the recent commission for the 54 meter boat, Baglietto is also building a sister ship of a 46 meter and a 61 meter boat; in addition, a 43 and a 46 meter boats are in planning stage, while a 38 meter ship is on the design phase.
