Geodis signed a three-years contract with Zobele Group

Milan - Zobele Group, worldwide player in air care and parasitic control sector, entrusts Geodis to manage the logistics and road distribution activities for the Business Unit Zobele Retail Solution for the triennium 2014-2016. With 5.000 employees, 6 industrial plants, 4 development centers and 2 innovation poles in 8 different countries, Zobele, with Italian headquarter in Trento, found in the Transport and Logistics Divisions of Geodis Group the perfect partner for its supply chain management in Italy and Europe. Key factor has been Geodis ability to realize ad hoc solutions to match Zobele specific logistics and distribution needs. Warehouse activities will be carried out in Geodis Castel San Giovanni and Copiano logistics sites.

Born in 2004, Castel San Giovanni Logistics Park, situated between A21 and A1 motorways, has become, thanks to its strategic position, one of the most attractive site for many Italian customers. Several important brands have made Castel San Giovanni the reference point for their products, relying, among others, to Geodis, a subsidiary of SNCF Group which ranks among the top four Global Logistics Providers in Europe, and manages, with its Logistics Division, the warehousing activities for its customers occupying the 70% of the entire logistics park surface.

Zobele’s products logistics activities will be carried out in Castel San Giovanni, in a 4.000 sqm area, with a 6.000 pallets capacity during the peaks, while flammable goods will be handled in Copiano warehouse with 150 pallets in a dedicated compartmented cell for R12 materials storage. In a fully equipped with radio frequency building, Geodis will offer Zobele a differentiable service according to customer needs with full or mixed pallets picking for every kind of order. Geodis will also guarantee the possibility to rework parcels as requested by GDO.
