Zanetti (Costa Cruises): "We are working with MSC to design a new terminal in Genoa"

"The chance to have a stable presence in this port has materialized and, as has already happened elsewhere, we are working with our competitors, who in this case I would define as "industry colleagues": the goal is to find together the best solution to transform Genoa in a large cruise hub"

Genoa - “Genoa is our home, we were born here more than 70 years ago and we feel the city under our skin. We are very proud of our history. The chance to have a stable presence in this port has materialized and, as has already happened elsewhere, we are working with our competitors, who in this case I would define as "industry colleagues": the goal is to find together the best solution to transform Genoa in a large cruise hub. Let's not forget that we, at the institutional tables, represent a corporation (Carnival, ed.) That will be able to benefit from the outcome of this negotiation". Costa's president, Mario Zanetti, told the Il Secolo XIX newspaper.

What do you think of the Hennebique option, the old grain silo in the port of Genoa, supported by local authorities? Are you worried about any lead times? “Our home port is Savona, a port in which we have invested and which has allowed us to grow. In Genoa, there are several possible solutions. We are working on all of them”.
