Genoa – During 2021, Costa Cruises hosted around one and a half million passengers. Despite the many months of no navigation due to Covid-19, the results for the Italian company are more than satisfactory. "The summer season started in May with our second restart and we had very interesting results, better than the first restart. An important goal for Costa, facilitated by the rigid anti-Covid protocols, which we apply scrupulously and which work".
The general manager of Costa Cruises, Mario Zanetti, told reporters aboard Costa Smeralda where the new travel philosophy of the company was presented based on exclusive excursions, catering services linked to the territories visited and a new logo with the “C” (of Costa) that turns into an embrace between land and sea. Among the summer itineraries that have had the greatest interest are those of proximity, bringing the Italian ports back to the center of the tourist experience. Now, the company looks to winter. "In the period in which we did not sail - continues Zanetti - we registered interest in winter itineraries, including Dubai".
