Tulcea - After being towed from Vard’s shipyard in Tulcea, Romania, across the Black sea, the Mediterranean Sea, then along the ocean shores of Portugal, Spain and France up to Scandinavia, Prysmian Group’s cutting-edge cable-laying vessel reached Vard’s shipyard in Brattvåg, Norway. Here, proceeding on time with the overall schedule, the "Leonardo da Vinci" will undergo the last steps of its complex building process: outfitting phase and installation of main onboard laying equipment. Once completed, the ship will be ready for the sea trials and leave the shipyard with its own engines to reach to the open sea. From September 2020 to spring 2021, Vard and Prysmian will work closely to accomplish the task.
