The Italian shipping company Ignazio Messina & C. has welcomed its latest container vessel, christened the “Jolly Clivia.” The ownership transfer took place at the bustling port of Singapore, where the ship officially joined the company’s fleet.
Jolly Clivia, constructed in 2010 at the South Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, was previously owned by a German company. With a capacity to transport 4,400 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), this container ship joins four other full-container units recently acquired by the Genoese group, all falling within the range of 4,400 to 4,600 TEUs.
Ignazio Messina & C. continues to strengthen its maritime presence, and the Jolly Clivia’s addition underscores the company’s commitment to efficient and reliable shipping services across international waters.
