F.lli Razeto & Casareto Approaches 40 International Awards
The Oblò handle wins the German Design Award: the third recognition for the Zuccon-designed project
A new prestigious milestone has been added to the accolades of F.lli Razeto & Casareto. The Oblò handle has received the German Design Award, presented by the German Design Council, further consolidating the Ligurian company’s path of excellence within the international landscape of nautical design and architectural hardware.
With this recognition, the company moves closer to the milestone of 40 international awards achieved over the past two decades, including wins, special mentions and official selections in some of the world’s most important design and innovation competitions. A result that reflects continuous research and development, as well as a design vision capable of anticipating the evolution of the sector.
The majority of these recognitions bear the creative signature of Giangi Razeto, who has progressively transformed the handle from a simple functional element into an intelligent, communicative and identity-defining architectural device.
For Oblò, designed by Bernardo Zuccon, this marks its third international award. The project was previously honoured with the Design Innovation Award at the Genoa International Boat Show, followed by the Iconic Awards 2025. The German Design Award further strengthens the value of a product born from the meeting of two complementary design cultures.
Oblò represents a virtuous dialogue between the architectural approach of Zuccon International Project and the technological research developed by Razeto & Casareto. The inspiration drawn from the archetypal shape of the nautical porthole — a universal symbol of the relationship between man and the sea — is translated into a pure, circular form that appears essential in perception yet reveals remarkable technical complexity within.
