Bid to improve Sydney’s cruise ship space

Sydney - Cruise ships so large they don’t fit under the Sydney Harbour Bridge are forcing the NSW government to consider asking the navy share valuable real estate on the ocean side of the iconic bridge.

Sydney - Cruise liners larger than the “biggest warships in the world” are causing problems in Sydney Harbour with fears that in time most won’t able to squeeze under the Harbour Bridge to reach the White Bay terminal. In 2016/17, Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay - on the ocean side of the bridge - was used by 100 more ships than White Bay. Relatively soon all cruise ships visiting Sydney could be too tall to use White Bay. READ MORE
