Venice - A liquefied natural gas fuel supply solution for heavy vehicles and ships, as well as being in the running to host, down the line, a global research centre for nuclear fusion; two projects with which the Venice Municipality wishes to revitalize the Port of Marghera, for the 100th anniversary of that industrial hub. The two projects were announced by the mayor of Venice, Luigi Brugnaro: “100 million euros of investment are slated for Porto Marghera by a private company that will build a facility for the storage of gas for heavy vehicles and cruise ships. It’s an investment that will bring in jobs, and allow us to move forward with the rebirth of a disused area of Marghera. Private companies see significant business opportunities in the cruise sector, and we’re in agreement.”
