Rome - Aldo Grimaldi died on Friday in Genoa. He was 96 years old and was one of the most famous and important Italian shipowners.

Rome - Aldo Grimaldi died on Friday in Genoa. He was 96 years old and was one of the most famous and important Italian shipowners.
With the ships “Grandi Navi Veloci”, Grimaldi invented the cruise-ferry concept: fast ferries on the lines to Sicily and Sardinia, with comfort and services equal to those of small cruise ships.
The funeral will be celebrated on Monday in the church of Boccadasse, in Genoa.
