It’s Time for the Yacht Shows

Genoa - The season of the major yacht shows is upon us. First Cannes, then Monte Carlo and finally Genoa. One of the most intense periods for the European yachting market starts in September, when the companies put their products on display. It is a closely packed calendar, rich with interesting events. And for years now it has been the same every year. However, it will certainly change starting in 2015, since next year, as MediTelegraph reported, the new president of UCINA Confindustria Nautica, Massimo Perotti, has decided that the Genoese show will be shifted to May. Some say the change was inevitable, but it has its dangers, too. The shift to May has the advantage of avoiding the now unsustainable competition with the Salon in Cannes and in part also the event in Monte Carlo.
