Genoa - Supported by a market that is in recovery (the prediction for 2016 was +7.5%), the Genoa International Boat Show will launch its 56th year from 20 to 25 September. The review in Genoa was attended by UCINA President Carla Demaria in the presence of the president of the Region of Liguria, Giovanni Toti.

Despite the controversy that has shaken the world of yachting in recent days, culminating in the exit of 15 major brands from Confindustria, the Genoa Boat Show is anticipated to achieve positive figures: according to UCINA, there are 21% more confirmations of participation versus last year’s show, an increase in investments (in terms of the number of boats exhibited and in terms of square footage occupied) by 57% of the exhibitors, spaces for outboards have sold out, a 5% increase in sailing vessels exhibited and a 12% increase in on-board motor boats, and the return of many foreign brands.
