Costa Cruises unveils “Sea Destinations” for 2024: a Voyage within a Voyage
In addition to the classic onshore destinations like Barcelona, Naples, Genoa, Istanbul, and Mykonos, Costa’s itineraries will now introduce passengers to new and enchanting sea destinations
Costa Cruises, the renowned Italian cruise line, is set to introduce an exciting new concept for 2024: the “Sea Destinations.” Starting next spring, Costa’s itineraries in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe will be enriched with unique and captivating destinations that guests can explore right from the ship during their voyage.
Imagine a journey within a journey, where the sea isn’t merely a means of reaching cruise ports but becomes a privileged vantage point for experiencing unforgettable moments. These moments unfold against the backdrop of iconic locations along the ship’s route.
In addition to the classic onshore destinations like Barcelona, Naples, Genoa, Istanbul, and Mykonos, Costa’s itineraries will now introduce passengers to new and enchanting sea destinations. Let’s delve into some of these remarkable experiences:
Mediterranean Sunset Party in Formentera Bay: After exploring Ibiza, guests can return to the ship and immerse themselves in the sunset atmosphere with a hippy chic party in the picturesque bay of Formentera. The sun’s golden hues, the gentle sea breeze, and the rhythmic beats create an unforgettable evening.
Caprese Breakfast with a View of the Faraglioni: Before disembarking in Naples, guests can savor a typical Caprese breakfast while gazing at the spectacular panorama of the Faraglioni rock formations. The first light of day illuminates this iconic seascape, making it a feast for the eyes.
Abyssal Celebration in the Eastern Mediterranean: As Costa’s ships sail over the deepest point in the Eastern Mediterranean, guests will be treated to an abyss-themed party. Imagine dancing under the star-studded sky, surrounded by the mysteries of the deep sea.
Time Travel and Whirling Dervishes in the Dardanelles: While crossing the Dardanelles, guests can step back in time and witness the mesmerizing dance of the whirling Dervishes. The ship becomes a vessel for cultural exploration, connecting the past with the present.
Dolce Vita Aperitivo in Venice: Following a stroll through Venice’s charming alleys (calli), guests can enjoy an aperitivo “Dolce Vita” on board, right in front of the Lido. The sunset over the lagoon, accompanied by Italian film posters and a cinematic soundtrack, completes this enchanting experience.
And that’s not all! The Sea Destinations will also be available on Costa’s Northern Europe cruises, including voyages through Norway’s most beautiful fjords. For instance, guests arriving in Geiranger will be welcomed by local farmers and then sail through the entire fjord, listening to Nordic legends and witnessing the immersive spectacle of the Seven Sisters waterfall against steep cliffs and lush mountains.
Costa Cruises invites travelers to embrace the sea as more than a conduit—it’s a gateway to extraordinary moments and iconic places.
