Fincantieri bags a maxi-refitting from Msc

Trieste - Trieste - Fincantieri will refit four Lirica class ships: this is the largest order to Fincantieri from the Gianluigi Aponte’s company, which so far used Palermo shipyard for some important drydocks on the Magnifica class ships. Vessels’s names subject to the refitting aren’t disclosed at the moment, but probably the ships will be MSC Armonia, Msc Sinfonia, Msc Lirica and MSC Opera.
The refetting will be done in Fincantieri Palermo shipyard between late 2014 and early 2015. Details of the transaction will be unveiled on Friday during a meeting in Rome between Fincantieri, Msc and Sace.
