Miami - Seabourn’s two newly designed ships will be named Encore and Ovation. Both are still a long way from entering service that will happen in late 2016 and early 2018, respectively. This is an expansion on the Odyssey Class trio - the Odyssey, Sojourn and Quest. “Encore and Ovation pay tribute to the tremendous success and outstanding accomplishments our current ships have achieved,” said President Rick Meadows. “They are perfect names to celebrate Seabourn’s expanding fleet.”

Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation will be one deck larger than the current Odyssey ships and will carry 604 passengers, about 150 more than the others. Every stateroom or suite - if you wish, call them all suites as this is luxury class - will have a veranda. Hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany advises that he will follow the trend in the new ships by creating indoor and outdoor guest areas, including the multiple dining venues. The ships are being built at Italy’s Fincantieri Shipyards.
