Vado Ligure - 24 March will be an important day for the new “Mega Andrea”, which will go into service on the Livorno-Golfo Aranci route after months of restyling. From Spring to Summer, the ship will make about 500 voyages, will call at many ports and will serve almost all the Sardinia Ferries’ lines alongside the other ships in the company’s fleet. “Mega Andrea” recently left the Navalmare Shipyard at La Spezia, where it received a careful restyling. All the structural work was carried out by the Jobson Italia Company, while the Greek company Vianadecon designed and built all the interiors. With its 171 metres in length, 28 metres width and six passable decks, “Mega Andrea” can carry 2.000 passengers and 550 cars and reaches a cruising velocity of 21 knots. There are 540 cabins, of various types and sizes.
