Savelli: new M.D. at Toremar Ferries

Livorno - At the sitting for the 2015 financial statements, the Managing Director of Toremar, Achille Onorato, transferred the leadership to Matteo Savelli, the existing General Manager. Mr. Onorato, however, still retained important functions within the company. Matteo Savelli began his career in Moby in 2007 alongside the Chief of Equipment and current CEO at Moby Giuseppe Savarese. With the acquisition of Toremar, in 2012, he joined the Company’s Board of Directors and assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer and then DPA of the fleet. In February 2015 he was appointed General Director. “I am proud to take on this role within the company,” said Matteo Savelli,“ to which I’ve been committed since 2012. Toremar (Toscana Regionale Marittima SpA), the Onorato Group shipowners firm based in Livorno, connects the coast of Tuscany with its island group consisting of Elba, Giglio, Capraia, Gorgona, Pianosa and Giannutri; it employs seven ferries and one hovercraft.
