Genoa - Costa Cruises is promoting four new free courses for a total of 80 positions. The courses will train tourist group leaders, client service and cooking staff employees to serve on its fleet of ships. Three courses are based in Genoa and are organised together with the Merchant Marine Academy, and one in la Spezia, in collaboration with Formazione Cooperazione Lavoro. The courses will offer theory based training in the classroom and practical training on board ships, with a good chance of employment with Costa. The company is in fact committed to hiring at least 60% of participants who successfully complete the courses. In Genoa a total of 60 positions are available, 20 of which are for adult group leaders, 20 for client service employees (the deadline to register for both courses is 23 May at 12 noon, it will be the same for all following ones) and 20 for on-board cooks (deadline 1 June). At La Spezia the course calls for 20 positions for children’s group animators (8 June). Anyone interested can request information, find the registration form, find information on the content of the courses and the selection procedures and criteria on the site http://www.career.costacrociere.it/it/lavora-con-noi/bordo/formazione. Good knowledge of the English language is required.
