Valletta - Yesterday was the last of the two-days events organized in Messina and La Valletta by GNV on board the cruise ship MSC Poesia, to introduce the news related to the Sicilian and Maltese cargo markets. The events took place on the 26th of July in Messina and the 27th of July in La Valletta. The hosts, Roberto Martinoli, Chairman & CEO of GNV, Matteo Catani, Sales & Marketing Director of GNV and the Cargo Sales Division of the Company, welcomed over 100 clients and detailed the latest cargo news introduced by GNV.

As regards the Sicilian goods market in particular, GNV announced the introduction of a new ship in support of the Genoa-Palermo line and the doubling of the Civitavecchia line. As a result, GNV will upgrade its service to 40 weekly departures, reaching the capacity of 60.000 linear meters per week.

Moreover, the company announced the return to the Maltese market with new connections, starting from the end of October 2016 and departing from Genoa, Civitavecchia and Palermo to Malta. In 2015 GNV shipped over 1.800.000 linear meters of goods, which confirms the cargo sector as an appealing market for GNV. Nowadays, GNV is the second ferry company in the Mediterrean for loading rolling cargo capacity and ranks 8th worldwide (source: Shippax).
