Milan - The national association that represents companies that specialise in logistics for third parties is speaking out against strikes and gate protests organised by the autonomous trade union SiCobas. Assologistica has repeated its call to the police forces and to the regional and local administrators to adopt immediate institutional measures that will bring the situation back to normal, restoring the right to business and the right to work. These actions, which do not allow the arrival and departure of vehicles and the conducting of regular business, cause significant economic damage.

Such actions go well beyond the normal dialectic of industrial relations [and in fact result in a situation where a company and its employees are simply held hostage] with the aim of harming their image. An old and we hoped outdated way to take action as a union. Through the easy but dangerous shortcut of damage, provocations and threats, subjects external to the company become able to affect the fate of those who, from within, are committed to defending company competitiveness, conditions and jobs, so as to remain in the market, through structurally correct trade union relations.
