The logistics of honey
Genoa - Ever more in demand and profitable: Savona is at the centre of the business, thanks to the achievement of Matrunita Mediterranea, a subsidiary of the Parodi Group.
Genoa - Mele is a little town outside of Genoa, and this is where the story of the Parodi family begins. The Parodi family were Italian emigrants who over the course of four generations have built an economic and financial empire in Argentina, which ranges from construction business to large farms, including agriculture, animal husbandry, transportation - and more recently, honey. After leaving Mele in 1865, Giovanni Battista arrived in Buenos Aires on a ship called Santagne. It was his son, Domingo, who laid the groundwork for the Parodi family’s fortune: transporting fruit to the city and bricks to the countryside.
