Rome - “The ‘Marebonus’ is running aground. And doing incalculable damage to Italy’s economy. The road haulage companies believed in the ‘Marebonus’ [i.e. Sea Bonus] to such an extent that they directed their investments to more and more intermodal transportation, supporting precisely those environmental and security policies that the government promoted. It remains difficult to understand the sensational and unforgivable delay in the ‘Marebonus’ and most of all, the continuing uncertainty about the amount of the investments required of companies in order to receive the incentives to be transferred largely to road hauliers.”
This is what Guido Grimaldi, the president of ALIS (the Logistical Association for Sustainable Intermodality) has said about the approval of the ‘Marebonus’ and ‘Ferrobonus’ incentives.
