Monfalcone - The Portosega Port Authority (Monfalcone) announced that due to difficulties the port is facing and shrinking economic margins, nine employees out of 75 will be given “mobility” status. The decision is the result of the impending action by the Region to entrust, with no social clause, the railway manoeuvres in the harbour to a new logistics company. This activity was run by the Port Company itself and Coracfer. In addition to this, the arrival of the new port operator Cimolai has been announced, the fifth, despite the protests of other companies working in the port. Last but not least, comes the announced traffic transfer of (steel) slabs from Monfalcone (one of the top goods transported here, managed by the Port Company) to Porto Nogaro, where the access channel has just been dredged.
