Trieste, agreement on Employment Agency
Trieste - ALPT Trieste, the employment agency for port labour, and FILT CGIL, FIT CISL, Uiltrasporti, UGL Mare, CLPT - USB and CIU - Unionquadri, reached a union agreement for the starting up of the agency’s activities. Trieste - ALPT Trieste, the employment agency for port labour, and FILT CGIL, FIT CISL, Uiltrasporti, UGL Mare, CLPT - USB and CIU - Unionquadri, reached a union agreement for the starting up of the agency’s activities. This agreement, which is of strategic value for the port of Trieste, covers important policy issues concerning second-level negotiation.
In particular, the following matters were dealt with: the union relationships pointing to a management model that is participatory and oriented towards the prevention of labour conflicts; a professional training plan that develops the versatility of workers as much as possible; and internal regulations and a disciplinary code were established based on the shared principles.
The agreement also calls for all workers to be treated as Minerva company personnel during the months of October and November, including receiving the €11.45 “presence bonus”.
The agreement confirms the strategic value that the Port of Trieste intends to place on port labour, and to the improvement of the professionalism, productivity and safety of the workers and the entire port system.
